Robot 3D printing – also called robotic arm 3D printing and robotic additive manufacturing – combines a 3D printer head that extrudes materials with a multi-axis robotic arm to create a much more flexible 3D printer than conventional models.

With its high movement range, the robotic arm is increasingly used for large projects, such as mold-making, large-scale prototypes, artistic sculptures, architectural elements, furniture, and even rockets. It opens up a whole new world of design freedom in 3D printing. The arm can print from virtually any angle, enabling extremely complex, curved geometries.
